Before founding Mega Tickets USA, Denis Camargo worked closely with event production companies and Brazilian show promoters in the United States. He managed access control, handled door operations, and saw firsthand how the industry worked from the inside. and where it was broken.
One problem stood out above all others: chargeback fraud.
After every event, a wave of chargebacks would hit. Attendees who had clearly been at the show. people Denis had seen with his own eyes, people he personally knew. would contact their banks claiming they never attended, that their card was stolen, that they never authorized the purchase. And in 99% of cases, the banks sided with the cardholder. The money was pulled from the organizer's account, no questions asked.

Building the Solution
With years of experience in event access control, Denis set out to create a security system that would make chargeback fraud nearly impossible. The result was Mega Tickets USA's proprietary 6-layer anti-fraud technology:
- Rotating QR Codes. Every ticket's QR code changes every 30 seconds, like a bank authenticator. Screenshots become useless within half a minute.
- GPS-Gated Activation. The QR code only activates when the attendee is physically within 500 meters of the venue. You can't check in from your couch.
- Device Fingerprinting. Each ticket is tied to a specific device. Transferring requires a verified in-app process with identity confirmation.
- 3D Secure Payments. Every transaction is authenticated through the cardholder's bank, creating an undeniable proof of authorization.
- Location Evidence Trail. Periodic GPS pings during the event create a timestamped proof that the attendee was physically present.
- Fraud Scoring System. Every transaction receives a security score from 0 to 100. Suspicious patterns are flagged before they become chargebacks.
The system was designed with one goal: give organizers irrefutable evidence to present to banks when fraudulent chargebacks are filed. Not just a receipt. but GPS coordinates, device data, timestamped location pings, and 3D Secure authentication proving the cardholder authorized the purchase and attended the event.
