Mega Tickets USA ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, location, profile photos, and profile data. We also collect usage data, device information, and event attendance data to improve your experience.
When you make a purchase, payment information is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to:
- Personalize event recommendations based on your interests and location
- Enable Mega Connect features (social matching at events)
- Process ticket purchases, transfers, and refunds
- Send relevant notifications about events, matches, and account activity
- Provide customer support
- Improve our services and user experience
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Mega Connect Privacy
When you opt into Mega Connect (our social matching feature), only your first name, profile photo, section/row, and interests are visible to other participants at the same event. Your exact location is never shared. You can opt out at any time.
Phone numbers are blocked in Mega Connect chat unless you have a Premium subscription ($9.99/month).
4. Five Star Chauffeur
When you book transportation through Five Star Chauffeur, your pickup location and event details are shared with the transportation provider solely for the purpose of fulfilling your ride. This data is not used for any other purpose.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Payment information is processed through PCI-DSS compliant providers (Stripe) and never stored on our servers. Our database uses Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure data isolation.
QR code tickets use HMAC-SHA256 signed rotating barcodes that expire every 30 seconds, preventing screenshot fraud.

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time through the app
- Update your profile information through Edit Profile
- Delete your account permanently through Settings > Delete Account
- Opt out of Mega Connect, notifications, and location services
- Request a full data export by contacting support@megaticketsusa.com
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, including profile information, ticket history, matches, messages, and preferences.
Anonymized analytics data may be retained for business purposes.
8. Cookies & Tracking
Our mobile app does not use cookies. We use analytics tools to understand app usage patterns and improve our services. You can opt out of analytics tracking in Settings > Privacy.

Mega Tickets USA is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and sending a notification. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Dating & Social Features (Mega Connect)
When you use Mega Connect, our dating and social matching feature, we collect and process the following data:
- What we collect: Profile information (name, age, bio, interests), swipe preferences, match history, chat messages, and photos you upload
- How we use it: To power our matching algorithm, monitor for safety and compliance, and improve match recommendations over time
- Retention: Chat messages are automatically deleted after 90 days of inactivity between matched users. Swipe data (likes, passes) is deleted after 30 days
- Sharing: Your dating data is never sold to third parties. Profile information is shared only with users you match with, and only the information you choose to display
- Opt-out: You can disable Mega Connect at any time in Settings > Mega Connect > Disable. Disabling removes your profile from the matching pool immediately
14. Location Data
We take your location privacy seriously and only collect location data in limited circumstances:
- When collected: Location data is collected only during event check-in, when GPS-gated QR code verification is required to confirm your presence at the venue
- What we collect: Latitude, longitude, accuracy radius, and timestamp at the moment of check-in
- Purpose: Ticket fraud prevention and venue proximity verification to ensure tickets are being used by authorized attendees
- Retention: Location pings are automatically deleted after 48 hours. No long-term location history is maintained
- Not tracked: We do NOT track your location outside of the event check-in process. Background location tracking is never used
- Control: GPS permission can be revoked at any time in your device settings. Without GPS permission, you may use manual check-in methods where available
15. Age Verification
To protect minors and comply with applicable laws, we enforce age verification for certain features:
- Users must verify they are 18 years of age or older before accessing Mega Connect dating features
- Date of birth is stored securely using encryption and is never shared with other users or third parties
- Users under 18 years of age cannot access Mega Connect features, including matching, swiping, and messaging
- We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
16. Data Deletion
You have the right to request complete deletion of your personal data:
- Self-service: Navigate to Settings > Delete Account to initiate account and data deletion directly from the app
- Timeline: All personal data, including profile information, ticket history, matches, messages, and preferences, is permanently removed within 30 days of your request
- Exception: Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for business intelligence purposes
- Email requests: You may also request data deletion by emailing privacy@megaticketsusa.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
- Upon deletion, all active tickets are voided and any pending refunds will still be processed
